Kim Volunteer Fire Dept Reports Mutual Aid Response to Semi Trailer Hay Fire on CO HWY 109

Kim Volunteer Fire Department reported mutual aide assistance with La Junta Fire Department and Las Animas/Bent County Fire Protection District as they Responded to a trailer loaded with hay on fire at MM 28 on Hwy 109 on December 31, 2025.

Please avoid 109 as visibility is very poor with smoke.
