Poitrey Canyon Fire update 8am 4/27/26
The DFPC Multi-Mission Aircraft (MMA) mapped the fire at 2,113 acres. It is still at 0% containment.
High winds yesterday increased fire behavior and tested the east side, but firefighters were able to hold it within containment lines and keep fire growth to a minimum.
Interior pockets continue to burn, and growth was limited to the northwestern edge, where rugged terrain aligned with shifting winds.
Air resources continue to assist firefighters on the ground, and rain in the area overnight should help with containment efforts.
