La Junta Senior Golf League Results: 34 Players Compete in April 28 Scramble

Brisk Weather, Hot Scores: La Junta Senior Golf League Crowns Winners in April 28 Scramble

The La Junta Senior Golf League braved brisk temperatures on Tuesday, April 28, to play nine holes of scramble golf with each player getting a toss of the golf ball to aid their team's score. Thirty-four players made seven teams. There was a challenge chip on hole #3, no one was successful at making the chip.  But the challenge putt on hole #3 had six golfers make the putt: Jay Bollacker, Connie Buchner, Bob Malden, Mackie O'Neal, Dennis Golding, and Bill Jackson.

Next Tuesday, May 5, the seniors will meet again at the La Junta Golf Course for another round.  We will play scramble golf and have a drawing for some extra chances to lower the team score. Registration will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., with teams being picked at 9:45 a.m. No players can be added after this time. Play is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. Please call 719-469-0691 if you anticipate being late for registration but will be able to tee off on time.
