Pueblo Police Investigate Fatal Shooting at Shell Gas Station on Highway 50

On May 16, 2026, at approximately 11:04 a.m., Pueblo Police Officers responded to the Shell Gas Stations at 1812 W US Highway 50 regarding a shooting. As police arrived on scene, they located one male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The male was pronounced deceased on scene. Other parties on scene were transported to the department for questioning.

 
All parties involved in this incident were accounted for. No arrests have been made at this time and this continues to be an ongoing investigation. At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
 
The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased. This marks the city’s seventh homicide in 2026. There were four homicides year-to-date in 2025.
