Pueblo Rural Firefighters have been helping with the #aspenacresfire2026 since the first call went out Monday morning. All PRFD apparatus and personnel are safe and back in the district preparing for any emergency that may happen over this holiday weekend. We will have extra personnel staffing our Type 6 Brush trucks throughout tonight.

I am extremely proud of the response from ALL Pueblo County Fire, Law and EMS agencies that having been working together tirelessly to help protect our neighboring fire district. The response from all PRFD personnel that responded to the fire and also helped backfill the stations has been amazing! -Chief Furney
