Obituary

Scott Lee Curtsinger, 57, passed away peacefully at his home in Grand Junction, CO on July 10, 2026.  He was born on November 10, 1968 to Leland and Jean(Bonham) Curtsinger at La Junta Community Hospital.  He was the youngest of four siblings.  He grew up surrounded and loved by many extended family members.

Scott graduated from Swink High School.  He received degrees from both Otero Junior College in La Junta, CO and Adams State College in Alamosa, CO.

Several years of Scott's life were spent living and working in the La Junta area.  He moved to Grand Junction in 2017 and was working for Alpha Spectra, Inc.

His dogs, Princess, J.D. and Max, played an important role in his life.  They were all rescue

dogs.  The four of them saw each other through good times and some tough times.

Scott especially enjoyed attending concerts, family get-togethers, being a part of the "Raider Nation" (Raiders NFL team) and cheering for the University of Oklahoma Boomer Sooner football team. He also liked being a part of the Curtsinger Cousins Facebook group and keeping in contact with other extended family and friends on Facebook.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.  He is survived by his siblings, Jim (Ellen Reimer) Curtsinger, Ann (Joe) Petrov, Richard (Catherine) Curtsinger, nine special nieces and nephews and some dear cousins, aunts, uncles, great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of life for Scott will be held at a later date.
